Portrait of Lindsay Bong, a licensed therapist in Texas and Oregon with over 15 years of experience, specializing in Brainspotting therapy and Internal Family Systems to help clients heal from trauma and anxiety using weekly and breakthrough sessions

I am Lindsay Bong, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience helping clients in Austin, TX, throughout Texas, as well as Oregon navigate beyond trauma and anxiety to create a life filled with healing, purpose, and possibility.

As a certified Brainspotting practitioner with training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), I integrate these powerful modalities to help clients process trauma more effectively and efficiently. Brainspotting allows us to access and release deeply held emotional pain, while IFS helps explore and heal the different parts of ourselves impacted by trauma. Together, these approaches create a safe and supportive space for deep, lasting transformation.

Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive environment where you can explore what’s been holding you back and take meaningful steps toward the life you long for. Whether it’s finding peace, building confidence, or feeling more connected to yourself and others, you’re not alone on this journey—and brighter days are ahead.

What sets me apart is my use of specialized tools like Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems, which allow us to dig deeper and work through trauma in ways that traditional talk therapy might not reach. These techniques are designed to help you process emotions and memories stored in the body and subconscious, leading to breakthroughs that feel both profound and freeing. You don’t have to spend months feeling stuck—we’ll focus on finding solutions that create meaningful shifts and help you move forward.

Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, or just trying to figure out the next steps in your life, I’m committed to creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and tailored to you. Therapy with me isn’t one-size-fits-all—it’s a partnership where we work together to help you find clarity, balance, and the life you deserve.

How is therapy with me different?

Am I the right therapist for you?

    • Individuals ready to dive deep into their healing process and work through trauma or anxiety.

    • Those looking for a therapist who combines warmth, compassion, and specialized techniques like Brainspotting and Internal Family Systems.

    • People who are motivated to explore their emotions, uncover patterns, and make meaningful changes in their lives.

    • Clients seeking a safe, non-judgmental space to process their feelings and develop greater self-awareness.

    • Individuals who value a personalized, collaborative approach that prioritizes both emotional and practical growth.

    • Those seeking a quick fix or unwilling to commit to the process of deep emotional healing.

    • Individuals who are not ready to take an active role in their therapy or prefer a therapist who provides strict step-by-step instructions.

    • Those looking for highly structured, solution-focused sessions without space for exploration or self-reflection.

    • People who are uncomfortable with a collaborative, conversational style and prefer a more formal or clinical tone in their therapist.

  • Being a therapist is not just my profession—it’s my passion. Beyond my work, I’m deeply fascinated by all areas of psychology and the incredible ways our minds and emotions shape who we are. I often find myself immersed in books, documentaries, and shows that explore the complexity and resilience of the human experience. Whether it’s understanding how past experiences influence behavior or marveling at stories of growth and transformation, I’m constantly inspired by how wonderfully intricate and unique humans are. This curiosity fuels my work as a therapist, keeping me engaged and eager to support my clients on their own journeys.

I’m always up for a long walk, a pilates class, or a coffee date with friends—anything that lets me recharge and connect. As a mom, I cherish the time I spend with my family, whether it’s enjoying a quiet evening at home or making memories on our adventures together. Parenthood has taught me so much about patience, resilience, and the beauty of watching someone grow. Balancing family life with self-care is important to me, and I bring that same sense of balance and connection into my work as a therapist. Life is a mix of big moments and small joys, and I strive to embrace them all.
